Type A Metal Roof Deck (Narrow Rib)
Type A Metal Roof Deck is a 1 1/2″ deep, narrow rib metal roofing deck that provides an economical metal roofing system when utilized with thinner insulation materials, allowing maximum area for adhesive contact.
It is also used as a secondary structural diaphragm member to provide for lateral force distribution to the structure’s vertical force resisting systems. Available with either a galvanized roofing finish or prime painted to inhibit rust while in transit (primer is not a finish coat), Type A Roof Deck is produced with a 30” cover width in three steel thicknesses.
Type B Metal Roof Deck (Wide Rib)
Type B Metal Roof Deck is a 1 1/2″ deep, wide rib, structural metal roof deck section that provides a support surface for various types of roofing materials. It is also used as a secondary structural diaphragm member to provide for lateral force distribution to the structure’s vertical force resisting systems.
Type B metal roofing deck is available in four standard gauges with either a galvanized finish or prime painted to inhibit rust while in transit (primer is not a finish coat). The most commonly produced cover width is 36”, but narrower widths are available.
B-Acoustical, B-Cellular, and B-Cellular & Acoustical are also available (longer lead times may be required). Acoustical deck is especially suited for structures where sound control is desirable.
Type F Metal Roof Deck (Intermediate Rib)
Type F Metal Roof Deck is a 1 1/2″ deep, intermediate rib metal roof deck that provides an economical roofing system of structural load carrying capacity and roofing insulation materials.
It is also used as a secondary structural diaphragm member to provide for lateral force distribution to the structure’s vertical force resisting systems. Type F Metal Roof Deck is commonly produced in three gauges and a 36” cover width with either a galvanized finish or prime painted to inhibit rust while in transit (primer is not a finish coat).
Type N Metal Roof Deck (Deep Rib)
Type N Metal Roof Deck is a 3″ tall, deep rib metal roof deck, that is designed to provide an economical roofing support surface when longer spans are required between roofing supports.
It is also used as a secondary structural diaphragm member to provide for lateral force distribution to the structure’s vertical force resisting systems. Type N Metal Roof Deck is available in 24” cover width and three standard gauges, with either a galvanized finish or prime painted to inhibit rust while in transit (primer is not a finish coat). Please inquire for availability of special gauges or finishes.
N-Acoustical, N-Cellular, and N-Cellular & Acoustical are also available (longer lead times may be required). Acoustical deck is especially suited for structures where sound control is desirable.
